First I must thank Mr Mahmud for giving me a new lease of life by totally replacing my right hip. Mr Mahmud is an extremely professional competent consultant who takes great pride in his work and has a great passion also for it. He is also a very friendly and likeable person whom I would recommend to anyone. I had been a very fit and active person in my earlier years playing football,golf and rugby league. In my sixties I was going to the gym three times a week even up until my operation even though the pain in my right hip was excruciating I persevered.My GP initially prescribed different anti inflammatory tablets which did not relieve the pain.

I also attended a hip and knee physiotherapist course for five weeks which did not relieve the pain. Then I was referred to Mr Mahmud who advised me to walk with a stick initially and he sent me for X-RAYS and Scan at which point he made a decision to replace my right hip. The operation took place at the Alexandra Hospital Cheadle on the 30th March 2017 and it has been a total success. I could not believe the small scar that I have and the nurses who initially removed the dressing told me that it was the best healed scar that they had seen. I am now back in the gym three times a week and walking my sons dog daily. I cannot thank Mr Mahmud enough he has given me a new lease of life. Thank you top class consultant.
